iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. * When sixel scrolling is enabled, images set to scroll with the text can also expire when the surrounding text leaves the scrollback buffer.

Installation is a straight forward process. iTerm2 is a great terminal with a rich set of features and customization options, but is unfortunately MacOS only. There are no performance issues I have found with using iTerm with Rosetta 2 for ARM-based applications. iterm2 AlternateMouseScroll -bool true restart iTerm2, and all your windows will report scroll events as up/down arrow-key escapes when the terminal is in the “alternate screen” (direct addressing) mode I want to set up iTerm2 to pass scroll events to tmux, so I can trivially enter (and exit) scrollback mode for whatever pane is active. But in case you missed/dismissed this prompt you won't be prompted again, I think. The desired behavior is that the screen is moved up or down, like and do. When debugging a large amount or a long running terminal session this can become frustrating. Iterm2 scroll up limit Fn–Down Arrow: Page Down: Scroll down one page.
